Getting to know Air Austral

Originally founded in 1974 As Reunion Air Services it began to expand into regional services and renamed Air Reunion in 1986, in 1990 Air Reunion was purchased and renamed Air Austral. Since then the airline has expanded its reach into Africa, Europe and even Asia.

Baggage policy
Passengets have a free checked baggage allowance of 2 pieces of luggage with a certain weight limit depending on your following cabin class

Regional flights
Loisers: 25 kgs
Confort: 30 kgs
Club Austral: 40 kgs

International flights
Loisers: 25 kgs
Confort: 35 kgs
Club Austral: 40 kgs

Cartons and boxes are accepted under certain conditions and may be refused at check-in if not properly packed. Sum of the three dimensions (length x width x height) must not exceed 300 cm

Check in
Passengers of Air Austral are encouraged to check in 45mins before departure time for regional flights, while 2 – 3 hours before international flights

Passengers are able to check in at the airport or online via their website.

Cabin Classes
Air Austral offer its clients the choice of 3 cabin options, Loisers (economy), Confort (premium economy), Club Austral (Business class)
